Drawn through the visual language of 1928, it pays tribute to SFFD Searchlight Company 2, the 1928 Kleiber truck built in the city for the San Francisco Fire Department, and marks its return to the city as part of this year’s remembrance. The presence of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, introduced that same year in Steamboat Willie, adds an unmistakable note of period nostalgia to a piece rooted first in San Francisco’s story of resilience.

• The Front: A custom 1900s era Maltese cross anchors the design, drawing from the historic emblem of the fire service and its legacy of courage, protection, and sacrifice. At its center sits heritage SFFD script, framed by Lotta’s Fountain and the Golden Hydrant. Above them rises the Fenix, symbolizing renewal from devastation, while 1866 at the base honors the origins of the San Francisco Fire Department.
